What is this?
A map of the places that made Nashville feel like yours — the dive bars, coffee shops, record stores, and restaurants that closed before anyone thought to write them down. Every pin is a place someone remembers. Tap one to see what was there, when it was open, and what people have to say about it. Use the year slider to scrub through time — drag it back to 2008 and only places open that year will appear.
Add what you remember
Tap anywhere on the map to drop a pin. Give it a name and a rough guess at when it was open — your place shows up immediately. No account needed. An AI fills in what it can (address, dates) in the background without overwriting anything you entered. Every place also has a space for memories — the last thing you ate there, the show you saw, the bartender who knew your name. Tap a pin, tap "Add a memory," and leave whatever comes to mind.
Why this exists
Not every place that matters gets a historic plaque. Some just quietly close and get replaced, and the only record they existed is in the people who went there. This is an attempt to collect all of that before we forget.
Keep the lights on
This is a one-person project. If you like it and want to help cover the server and AI costs, that would be really nice.
